Job Description:

Madison College is hiring two part-time Test Coordinators in our Northern Region, responsible for proctoring and interpreting academic assessments. If you are detail oriented, can work independently, and enjoy engaging with a variety of individuals we encourage you to apply.

Both positions are part-time, non-exempt, 20 hours per week, 52 weeks per year position. Core office hours are Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. with occasional evening hours. There is flexibility on the hours that you would work during that timeframe. These positions are predominately onsite at either the Portage or Reedsburg campus.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for proctoring and interpreting academic assessments. (Including but not limited to: Accuplacer, GED/HSED, PearsonVue testing, HESI, TEAS, 3rd party assessment and remote proctoring) on a group and individual basis and provides information and/or orientation activities to students regarding the GED/HSED process.

The Test Coordinator works with students with disabilities to provide approved testing accommodations.

This position processes assessment results, maintains records and files, and compiles data and supports Madison College's academic programs and other services.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Administers, and interprets academic and career assessments on a group or individual basis. This includes Placement testing, GED/HSED orientations/testing, PearsonVue, HESI, TEAS and other tests.
  • Follows all procedures to ensure test security and enforcement of all testing standards, and integrity of confidential student records. Maintains confidentiality of student information.
  • Provides test accommodations to students with disabilities .
  • Utilizes and keeps current on all specialized software and new technology related to testing for the general student population and students with disabilities.
  • Informs new and continuing students, Madison College staff, community based organizations regarding Madison College services, educational programs, and resources.
  • Performs recruitment/orientation activities to attract and inform students of vocational/technical programs, basic education, HSED/GED diploma process and other related services.
  • Maintains and organizes student data and computer files; processes test scores and completes reports and summaries; and, provides test results to Enrollment Center and other Madison College staff.
  • Attends and participates in staff meetings, in-services and training as required.
  • Conducts follow-up efforts in response to student requests.
  • Maintains a commitment to the college mission, vision and values.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Skill in communicating effectively and professionally, both orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated skill in communications and human relations with populations of diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds and persons with disabilities.
  • Skill in handling and resolving students' issues and concerns
  • Possess experience in and knowledge of standardized testing procedure, policies, test security requirements and test administration techniques.
  • Skill in basic computer operation (computers, software, scanners).
  • Demonstrated skill in recording and maintaining precise data including student's records and test scores.
  • Ability to exercise sound, independent judgment.


Both positions position reports to the Director, Disability Resources & Testing Assessment Services.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate degree from an accredited institution. *Experience used as an equivalent of an educational requirement is in addition to any experience required by the position.

Three (3) years (6000 hours) relevant work experience.
