The University of Illinois at Chicago Counseling Center (UICCC) is recruiting qualified applicants to join our dynamic, diverse, and social-justice oriented staff for a full-time, 12-month position as a Staff Therapist II - Training Administration.
The Counseling Center has been serving the University of Illinois at Chicago for more than 35 years, is part of the Division of Student Affairs, and is fully accredited by the International Association of Counseling Services, Inc. UICCC is the main provider of mental health services on campus and provides comprehensive psychological services to eligible students including assessment, individual and group therapy, psychiatry, crisis services, consultation, referral, outreach, and mind-body programming. Strongly dedicated to training, we offer an advanced doctoral therapy externship, postdoctoral fellowship, and a doctoral internship in health service psychology which was recently reaccredited by the American Psychological Association until 2032.
UICCC staff includes licensed psychologists, licensed therapists, crisis counselors, a board- certified psychiatrist, and a case manager. Position Description:
In conjunction and with the support of the Associate Director for Training, the Staff Therapist II-Training Administration (STII-TA) will assist in the oversight and coordination of all training programs within the UIC Counseling Center. This position will provide direct oversight of the advanced doctoral externship and postdoctoral fellowship programs and assist in the management of the internship program, as well as assist in any expansion of training programs, including social work, psychiatry and other mental health disciplines. In addition to these administrative functions, the position involves direct service to university students (brief counseling/psychotherapy, group therapy, and outreach programming), consultation/liaison to faculty/staff/students, and supervision of externs, interns, and postdocs.

Salary Range/Benefits:
The annualized salary range is $95,000 - 99,000.UIC provides a generous benefits package, including 24 days of earned vacation leave, up to 13 days of non-cumulative sick leave and 12 days of cumulative sick leave and University holidays including 2 floating holidays.
