Sharepoint Developer

The Microsoft (MS) SharePoint Developer/Administrator is a member of a technically skilled contractor team supporting a Department of Defense (DoD) client at multiple locations in the McClellan Park area of Sacramento, California. This Developer/Administrator position is within the Software & Application Support Team and has a broad set of duties and responsibilities as well as accomplishing all tasks assigned by the Senior Software Architect, Technical Lead or Project Manager. This position provides end-user support for as well as utilizing various Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) design, workflow and management software applications and interfacing with software vendors for updates and resolution of technical issues. The Developer/Administrator is responsible for working closely with the customer's business lines, development teams and any other customer technical resources, to provide development and support for the secure delivery of the customer's SharePoint based business solutions. Lastly, under general supervision, the SharePoint Developer/Administrator performs a variety of systems management functions including the administration, maintenance, end user suppShareort, monitoring of performance and day-to-day operation of the SharePoint Server.

Developer Responsibilities
"SharePoint Evangelist" – Provide technical guidance to customers on what MS SharePoint can offer out of the box
Provide first tier support in triaging SharePoint problems, troubleshoot errors and develop solutions
Assist customer users in setting up sites, lists and libraries; configuring permissions and access reports
Collaborate with customer teams to translate user and/or system requirements to functional technical requirements, report layouts and user interface designs to develop SharePoint solutions and business automation
Analyze, develop, test, integrate and maintain SharePoint-based solutions in addition to re-working customer designed solutions into best practice applications
Maintain existing SharePoint solutions across the enterprise
Assist with maintaining documentation on SharePoint architecture, help and training content
Coordinate and actively assist in SharePoint project planning
Provide structured end user classroom training as required

Administrator Responsibilities
"Governance Advisor" – Mentor customer team members on MS SharePoint best practices and administrative tasks
Lead patching and maintenance of SharePoint farms, Central Admin application management, monitoring service pack releases
Assist with the diagnosis of all SharePoint related problems with hardware, software and infrastructure
Monitor SharePoint server and applications to ensure sustained trouble-free operations
Perform SharePoint server backups and other data backups as necessary; Assist in developing SharePoint backup strategies
Assist IA team members in maintaining network security by ensuring that security compliance procedures are implemented and enforced
Assist IA team members with implementing counter-measures or mitigating controls
Assist with fully documenting internal procedures and ensuring all solutions are in compliance with applicable security requirements
Assist in the preparation of a variety of network resource reports as required
Assist in developing and maintaining system redundancy and fail over plans
Respond to requests for IT support
Assist site owners and admins with configuration of permissions and user access to site assets
Implement customer-established network policies, procedures, and standards
Demonstrate concern for timeliness and attention-to-detail on every task
Update job knowledge of relevant technology by seeking out training opportunities; reading professional publications; participating in professional organizations
Coordinate with Technical Lead to determine additional training requirements

Requirements
UNITED STATES CITIZENSHIP IS MANDATORY. THIS POSITION REQUIRES AN ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE
Full-time (40 hours) on site and may require non-standard shift [0930 – 1800], Monday – Friday
Mandatory prior experience with Federal government organizations (DoD, Civilian agencies)
Requires on-call and weekend support for planned or unplanned system downtime
Mandatory DoD 8570.01-M Certification: IAT Level II (Security +CE or Higher)
Computing environment certification that compliments MS SharePoint for IAT Level II compliance
Must have three (3) to five (5) years' experience with MS SharePoint, including site provisioning, Central Admin management, SharePoint security configuration
Minimum of two (2) years' experience with Nintex Forms and Workflows developing MS SharePoint solutions
Minimum of three (3) years' experience in designing, developing and implementing MS SharePoint sites for various business functions
Solid background and expertise in overall application development using standard Microsoft development tools such as including Visual Studio, and any of the following: .NET, C#, TFS, SQL, PowerShell, CSS, JavaScript and IIS
Able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
Professional, teamfocused attitude and courteous towards peers, supervisors and customers
Any technical Associate's, Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited institution in a related field or equivalent formal military training and 3+ years of related experience preferred
Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) in any Microsoft SharePoint 2013 or 2016 exam; Exam 70-331 (2013) or Exam 70-339 (2016) a big plus.
Experience working within a standard project management framework such as Waterfall, Scrum, etc. a big plus
