Senior Quality Engineer 1

What we're looking for:
You are responsible to designs, tests, troubleshoots, and debugs complex software applications. You are also responsible to creates and maintain agile test planning & execution throughout SDLC while accounting for automation, functional, performance, stress and scalability. Performs exploratory testing and manages defects. Ensures customer success by providing technical guidance, assisting Support and DevOps teams in troubleshooting customer issues. Deliver training, best practices, and technical contents to facilitate product adoption.

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for designing testing procedures, developing and documenting test cases and building automation test scripts to test, troubleshoot, and debug complex software applications. Creates and maintain agile test planning & execution throughout SDLC while accounting for automation, performance, stress and scalability. Performs manual and automation testing and manages defects and work with development/design teams to resolve the bugs and make sure that the product satisfies the user requirements and works as desired. Ensures customer success by providing technical guidance, assisting support and DevOps teams in troubleshooting customer issues.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Working knowledge with Agile development methodology (preferably scrum), continuous integration and tools (JIRA etc.) used to achieve the same.
• Review and contribute to requirement gathering, specifications and technical design documents and build detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Innovate, design, and develop test automation frameworks, tools and automated test suites and work with the other engineers to scale up test automation and practices and provide robust releases.
• Create, maintain and review libraries and object repositories for the QA automated test suites.
• Responsible for all phases of SDLC including component testing, SIT, UAT testing and go live support through regression testing, performance testing, advanced aspects of system testing and UAT support.
• Report issues through a bug tracking system and work with the development/design teams to help isolate, debug and resolve bugs.
• Instill best practices for software development and documentation, assure designs meet requirements, and deliver high-quality work on planned schedules.

Basic Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years relevant experience is required.

• Experience with Agile development methodology (preferably scrum), continuous integration and tools (JIRA etc.) used to achieve the same.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team while operating effectively in a collaborative environment
• Expertise in testing enterprise applications and back end services, including functional API testing, integration testing, and functionality and usability testing.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience communicating with business/stakeholders and users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features and technical designs
• Experience with quality metrics and clear status reporting in driving QA projects/initiatives independently

Additional Skills and Background:

• Expertise on any one automation tool such as Selenium Web Driver, RPA UIPath, Work Soft Certify, Nightwatch, IBM RPT
• Expertise in anyone scripting language such as Perl/Python or Jscript, and at least one modern programming language such as Java, C# or C++
• Experience on automation supporting tools such as Sauce Labs, BrowserStack and Jenkins, Azure cloud
• Hands-on experience writing SQL queries
• Expertise in testing enterprise applications and back end services, including functional API testing, integration testing, and functionality and usability testing.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience communicating with business/stakeholders and users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features and technical designs
