Job Description

Position Summary

Provide exceptional customer service to participants to ensure a safe & enjoyable experience. Enforce Campus Recreation policies & procedures. Maintain cleanliness of facility operations locations & equipment. Manage equipment, day-use lock operations and light janitorial work.

Answering phones, tend to accident and/or emergency situations, facility tours, program marketing, set up and break down for various activities, and other various tasks as assigned. Part-time employment will not lead to permanent employment.

Part-time hourly employees are used to fill positions normally less than twenty (20) hours per week. Part-time employees do not receive benefits.
  • Should be knowledgeable concerning the philosophy, purpose and importance of the Athletics & Campus Recreation program.
  • Should be able to communicate well with people of all social and economical backgrounds.
  • Assist in preparation and the posting of a monthly calendar of events.
  • Assist with organizing and executing recreation programs, group activities, special entertainment, special holiday events.
  • Assist Campus Recreation Coordinator & Administrative Assistant in planning creative events and day to day activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required for the position.


Preferred Qualifications

Prior customer service experience preferred.

Applicant must be able to demonstrate good communication skills and

customer service skills (i.e. working with the public). Applicant must be computer literate and have prior experience using Microsoft Word and Excel. Applicant must be able to lift 20 lbs.

Certification: applicants are required to have CPR, AED and First Aid certification or acquire certification within first 30 days of employment.

Working Conditions: This position may be required to work mornings, days, and or evenings.

Background Investigations: Employment is contingent upon the results of a background investigation.

*Employees will receive a free membership and 1/4 size locker.
