The Port is currently recruiting for the position of Manager, Information Technology. The focus of this position will be cyber security. Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, the Manager, Information Technology provides leadership and vision of the future requirements for information technology systems. The Manager, Information Technology is responsible for identifying, evaluating and reporting oninformation securityrisks in a manner that meets compliance and regulatory requirements, and aligns with and supports the risk posture of the enterprise. This role will also oversee a variety ofIT-related risk management activities and will ensure hardware, software, and staff resources meet Port security standards.



In addition to providing leadership, direction, and guidance for information security, the Manager, Information Technology will be responsible for creating a framework for information security governance in consultation with stakeholders. Other important initiatives for this role include evaluation and identification of new security technology capabilities, disaster recovery/contingency security planning, and promotion of a security culture within the organization.



The Port of Oakland requires each incumbent to successfully complete a Transportation Security Administration ("TSA") background check, which will include a fingerprint-based Criminal History Records Check ("CHRC") and a Security Threat Assessment ("STA"), prior to being considered for this position. This status must be maintained for the duration of employment at the Port.
