The Digital Merchandising and Operations Department has an opening for the Director, Analytics and Project Management. This position is in Pleasanton, California.

Position Purpose

Albertson's Companies is looking for people who are interested in re-imagining the grocery experience by harnessing the power of digital technologies. The individual will lead Marketing and Communications Operations, partnering with agencies, technology partners, and marketing colleagues across the business to develop and deliver on-brand integrated marketing campaigns that deliver targeted and relevant messaging for our customers.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Analytics:
  • Lead the delivery of defined analytics services to stakeholders and ensure analytics and insights drive consumer experience, business impact and help to achieve mid-funnel KPI's (basket size, units per transaction, item conversion)
  • Act as consultant to internal stakeholders and advise on the value and use of digital analytics to define goals, measure appropriate KPIs, monitor performance and derive opportunities.
  • Ensure that the team provides actionable recommendations and calls for action based on gathered insights. Oversee that gathered insights are translated into engaging, actionable, and easy to digest insights presentations.
  • Establish a fact-based culture in the organization by defining data driven decision processes.
  • Work with central digital analytics to improve reporting structures.
  • Provide team members/direct reports with clear direction and targets that are aligned with business needs and comb objectives.
  • Identify, design, and execute new processes that enable the digital merchandising team/category managers to be more effective in their day-to-day work, including executional excellence in data reliability, audience/segment management, campaign analysis, etc.
  • Own change management, communicate vision, processes, and governance across Platform Experience teams for owned channels.
  • Compile, analyze and leverage campaign performance data to both identify new opportunities and optimize current campaigns.
  • Develop and lead the team of analysts managing multiple device performance (web and app)
  • Develop scalable stakeholder and internal processes.
  • Partner with Merchandising, Operations, Marketing and Technology teams on capability development, platform build, and migration activities.


PMO:

Program/Project Tracking and Monitoring:
  • Track and provide program/project status to key stakeholders.
  • Manage the risk, issue, and change resolution process, and work with other leaders to take corrective action as needed.
  • Oversee Program/Project Managers for the delivery of high complexity programs/projects on time, within scope and on budget.

Project Prioritization
  • Develop communication plan and delivery to drive decisions into the organization and alerts to the organization when plans change.
  • Provide executive leaders with the information needed to assess which projects/initiatives have the highest potential customer value, impact, and strategic alignment.


Qualifications:
  • Highly analytical, detail oriented and constantly seeking to understand the "why" of any business trend
  • Excellent communicator (written and verbal); and at collaborating constructively with, and influencing, business partners. Experience "telling stories with the data"
  • Advanced understanding of reporting and analysis.
  • Motivated to achieve results in a fast-paced, growing, and ambiguous environment
  • Self-starter with high degree of motivation with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, plus ability to prioritize most important initiatives for the team
  • Proven expertise to influence people, process and technology in a manner that enriches the customer experience and overall team performance
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to resolve complaints, inquiries, and operational issues by influencing multiple stakeholders
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, particularly with executive and leadership teams
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to build, motivate and lead teams to successful results
  • Strong communicator with strong influencing and persuasion skills to help influence stakeholders and teams
  • Mindset for operational excellence, technically capable, excellent communicator, and a desire to improve and optimize processes and delivery
