Cybersecurity Engineer II

As a Cybersecurity Engineer II, you will be using your skills and expertise to design, test, and implement our secure operating systems, networks, security monitoring, and tuning. You'll be responsible for the management of our IT security systems and applications, incident response, digital forensics, loss prevention, and eDiscovery actions, conducting risk and vulnerability assessments, and developing and implementing security controls. You'll research, evaluate, and recommend new security tools, techniques, and technologies in alignment with our IT security strategy and introduce them to the enterprise.

The Cybersecurity Engineer will be responsible for cyber threat identification, evaluation, prioritization, and remediation activities under the direction of the Cybersecurity Manager. The Cybersecurity Engineer will oversee incident response, digital forensics, loss prevention, and eDiscovery actions. The Cybersecurity Engineer will partner with business users to support integration of Cybersecurity protections into business operations, and will act as a key member of the incident response team. The Cybersecurity Engineer will research, evaluate, and recommend new security tools, techniques, and technologies in alignment with our security strategy.

Must Haves:

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or related Engineering discipline and typically 3 or more years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of data security administration principles, methods, and techniques
• Demonstrate understanding of the life cycle of network threats, attacks, attack vectors, and methods of exploitation with an understanding of intrusion set Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required. Learn more about the background check process for Security Clearances

Preferred:

• Motivated self-starter with strong written and verbal communications skills, and the ability to create complex technical reports on analytic findings.
• Familiarity with domain structures, user authentication, and digital signatures.
• Experience and proficiency with any of the following: anti-virus, HIPS, IDS/IPS, full packet capture, host-based forensics, network forensics (desired).
• Proven track record of maintaining the confidentiality of high-sensitivity projects and data.
• Knowledge of DoD, government contracting and/or public auditing, policies, standards, and procedures.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants. Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and illegal drug use.
