Job Summary

Access Services Supervisor provides circulation services to users and supervises staff and student assistants during regularly scheduled shifts.

Access Services Supervisor (Day/Weekend Shift)

The Day/ Weekend Shift Supervisor provides efficient, consistent, and courteous service to library customers at the Checkout Desk. This position is scheduled from Monday- Friday or Tuesday-Saturday rotating between the following shifts:
7 AM to 4 PM (Summers)
8 AM to 5 PM
9 AM to 6 PM
1 PM to 10 PM (Friday and Saturday)

Evening Shift: 11:30 AM - 8:30 PM; 2 PM - 11:00 PM; 3 PM - Midnight; 8 am - 5pm, intersession.

Responsibilities
  • Hire, train and supervise three or more full-time Access Services employees and multiple Student Assistants
  • Maintain security of the Henderson Library including opening and closing and following all emergency procedures
  • Provide administrative assistance to visitors by maintaining the Checkout Desk
  • Provide administrative assistance to the Department Head by creating a weekly checkout desk schedule and assisting in all departmental projects
  • Provide administrative assistance by maintaining library records including working with Alma and Banner.
  • Assist library users with computer equipment, photocopiers, audiovisuals, and other library equipment. ]
  • Load and unload material in ARC and audits ARC bins and maintains inventory for library collection


Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Required Experience
  • Three or more years of related work experience

  • Experience working in a library


Proposed Salary

$14.86 - $18.17 per hour

This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
