(Primary Location for Job Responsibilities) Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.
Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.
Job Summary
Manages the development, coordination, and growth of experiential learning initiatives that provide Kennesaw State University students with opportunities to apply classroom learning in professional environments. Leads employer and campus partner engagement efforts to support internships, co-ops, fellowships, job shadowing, service-learning, and related experiential learning programs. Oversees program operations, assessment, and continuous improvement activities to ensure effective student engagement, positive employer partnerships, and alignment with university career readiness objectives. Collaborates with academic colleges and university stakeholders to expand access to experiential learning opportunities and enhance student career outcomes through high-impact learning experiences, including the university's OwlXperience program.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manages the day-to-day operation, implementation, and continuous improvement of experiential learning programs and initiatives, including internships, co-ops, fellowships, job shadowing, and other applied learning opportunities
2. Supervises and supports assigned staff to ensure effective program delivery, high-quality service, and achievement of departmental goals.
3. Develops and maintains relationships with employers, community partners, and campus stakeholders to expand experiential learning opportunities and support student career development.
4. Coordinates the development and implementation of experiential learning initiatives and programs designed to increase student participation and engagement
5. Maintains program procedures, guidelines, and operational processes related to experiential learning participation, documentation, and reporting requirements
6. Collects, analyzes, and reports participation, engagement, and outcomes data to assess program effectiveness and support continuous improvement efforts
7. Collaborates with academic colleges, faculty, and campus partners to promote experiential learning opportunities and support student access across disciplines
8. May serve as instructor of record for internship, cooperative education, career development, or experiential learning courses, as appropriate
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
Other Required Qualifications
Current, valid, and unrestricted driver's license.
Required Experience
Three (3) years of related work experience.

An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field

KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of experiential learning best practices, including internships, co-ops, fellowships, job shadowing, and career readiness initiatives
Knowledge of career development theory, career assessments, labor market resources, and NACE Career Readiness Competencies
Experience supporting experiential learning, career services, student success, employer engagement, or related programs within higher education
Demonstrated experience coordinating and implementing programs, projects, events, or initiatives with measurable outcomes
SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite and other technology platforms used to support student engagement, employer relations, reporting, and program management)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
