Learning Coach (Part-time)

One regular, part-time position, 18 hours per week, 12 months per year on the Oceanside and San Elijo Campus, and The Community Learning Center.

The schedule depends on department needs and varies semester to semester. The schedule will fall within The Learning Centers operating hours, which are: M-Th 8am-9pm, F 8am-4pm, and Sun 2-9pm. The actual work will be made at the time of hire. The person selected for this position will be subject to assignment to any district facility during any hours of operation

The first-level interviews with the screening and interview committee will be conducted via Zoom. The second-level interviews may be conducted in person or via Zoom.

RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT:
MiraCosta College Board Policy 7800: Employee Residency requires all classified staff, administrators, and temporary/hourly short-term employees to maintain and permanently reside in a principal place of residence in the state of California that is within two hundred (200) road miles from the employee's regularly assigned district worksite.

The District may consider an individual's request to temporarily reside outside the State of California or beyond the 200-mile limit on a case-by-case basis, provided it does not exceed 12 consecutive months.

Under general supervision, provide routine-to-advanced equity-minded coaching and academic tutoring services and lead-level work direction to student workers and assigned temporary/hourly staff; assist students in achieving learning outcomes. Starting at $34,703.55 per year (range 22, step 1), with annual salary step increases up to step 5.
