Trades Generalist, FT, Permanent

Empire State University is seeking candidates for a full-time Trades Generalist to work in our Saratoga Springs location.

The position will perform a wide range of semi-skilled and skilled maintenance, repair, and operational duties, while also providing on-shift coordination and support to custodial and facilities staff as needed.

Duties of this position will include the following:

Minor electrical repairs
Carpentry and wall repair
Plumbing adjustments and fixture repairs
Preventive maintenance on building systems
Equipment troubleshooting
Assist with facility setups and adjustments
Support snow removal and seasonal operations
Address urgent repair needs during active building hours

Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Four years of full-time experience in a trade under a skilled tradesperson which would provide training equivalent to that given in a training, apprenticeship, or equivalent program; or an equivalent combination of experience and training gained by completion of technical courses in skilled trades at a school, institute, or branch of the Armed Services.

Work Hours:

Monday - Friday 11:00am - 7:00pm

Special Information: Must possess a valid NYS driver's license

Salary: SG-12 $50,425 - $61,548
