POSITION SUMMARY
Testing Specialists work under the direction of the Testing Center Supervisor to administer and proctor a wide range of exams to support CCA students, CCCS students, Concurrent Enrollment partners, and the greater Aurora community. As part of this work, Specialists are responsible for general administrative and office management tasks.
In addition, Testing Specialists are responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the Testing Center's locations. The Testing Center currently has three locations: CCA CentreTech Campus, CCA Lowry Campus, and Buckley Space Force Base. Testing Specialists will work predominantly at the CentreTech location.
The ideal candidate will have extensive customer service experience with a proven record of exceling in organizational tasks and self-guided time management. In addition, candidates must demonstrate a strong attention to detail, a history of effective collaboration with a team, and a commitment to a growth mindset.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Testing Duties
Administer and proctor exams, including but not limited to the following:
- Make-up exams
- Accommodated exams
- Third-party / remote exams
- Accuplacer placement exams
- ATI TEAS public health exams
- CLEP and DSST credit for prior learning exams
- Meazure Learning professional certification exams
- National Testing Network professional certification exams
- Kryterion Testing Network certification and credentialing exams
Testing Specialists must acquire administrative and proctor certifications for all currently offered exams within 30-days of hire. Certifications must be maintained throughout the duration of employment at CCA.
All exams will be administered and proctored in accordance with vendor guidelines and Testing Center policy. Specialists will ensure a quiet, calming testing atmosphere is maintained, including remote/virtual testing environments
Testing Specialists will document any instances of cheating or academic dishonesty and, in consultation with the Testing Center Supervisor, report these instances to CCA or the appropriate vendor.
Administrative Duties
- Evaluate and process English and Math Placement Questionnaires in Formstack
- Enter student placement data and notes into Banner, CCA's student information system
- Verify Accuplacer test scores upload into Banner and correct any discrepancies
- Prepare, process and return submissions for make-up exams and accommodated exams
- Assist with online scheduling for the Testing Center and related vendors
- Protect the confidentiality of student and client information in accordance with FERPA and vendor policies
- Maintain assigned Testing Center schedule, currently M-F 8:30am - 5:00pm; hours subject to change
- Occasionally be available for half-day testing work a few Saturdays per year during peak registration periods
- Monitor office supply use and order supplies when needed
- Research and maintain testing-related software when needed
- Create and manage physical exam files as needed
- Process documents and other information on the shared CCA Testing drive as needed
- Troubleshoot basic technical issues related to computer-based testing and work with IT to resolve issues as they arise
- All other duties as required by the position
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in any field/area of study
- Two years of experience in a customer facing role
- Proven history of providing excellent customer service with little supervision
- Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal communication
- Demonstrated history of learning and adapting to new software, platforms, and related technologies
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with populations representing diverse backgrounds, life experiences, and abilities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- One year of experience in administering and proctoring academic and certification tests
- One year of experience working in a community college
- Proficiency in Spanish (primarily verbal)
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Salary Range: Anticipated salary range is $52,508.84- $60,385.17 annually. This salary is determined by the qualifications of the selected candidate balanced with departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information.
