Job Summary
Project Coordinators
Plans, coordinates, and implements the administrative and operational activities of residency training programs to support high-quality graduate medical education. Ensures program goals, curricula, and evaluation processes align with ACGME and institutional requirements. Interprets and applies GME policies, accreditation standards, and department procedures, advising residents, faculty, and program leadership to ensure compliance and smooth program operations.

Responsibilities
- Coordinates daily tasks of the program, assists in planning and implementing activities, and communicates with team members and stakeholders.
- Assists with program committees such as the Program Evaluation Committee and Clinical Competency Committee.
- Assists in trainee onboarding and offboarding. Tracks trainee absences and quarterly Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) compliance. Supports GME and hospitals in credentialing activities.
- Assists with program purchases and budget in coordination with Program Director and the Department/Division.
- Assists Program Director in screening and inviting candidates for interview season.
- Assists with ERAS, Thalamus, FREIDA, or equivalent applications. Supports NRMP registration, ranking, and results processes. Coordinates interview logistics for candidates and organizes candidate applications.
- Assists with understanding and supporting the annual ACGME Institutional, Common, Program, and Board Specialty requirements.
- Monitors trainee work hours and assists in evaluation distribution and filing. Tracks trainee procedures and board eligibility status.
- Coordinates the updating of specialty board websites, GME Track, and MedHub
Minimum Qualifications
EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor's degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).
Department may hire employee at one of the following job levels:
Project Coordinator, I: Requires a bachelor's (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience or a master's (or equivalency) degree. Project Coordinator, II: Requires a bachelor's (or equivalency) + 4 years or a master's (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience. Project Coordinator, III: Requires a bachelor's (or equivalency) + 6 years or a master's (or equivalency) + 4 years of directly related work experience.
Preferences
Should have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, effective communication skills, and ability to multitask. Applicants should demonstrate potential to fulfill essential job functions as outlined in the position description.
