The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training and internal pay comparison. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Senior Security Assistants monitor access of residents and guests to the large residences on campus. They notify the proper authorities in the event of an emergency such as fire, crime, or medical problems.
Senior Security Assistants must remain alert to their surroundings at all times. They act as front line representatives of the University and therefore, customer service is very important.
Essential Functions:
- Report emergencies or suspicious activity to the proper authorities. Write complete, concise, and accurate Incident and Fire Alarm Reports. (10%)
- Monitor access of residents, guests, staff, and vendors to the large residences. Enforce the Guest and other University policies. Verify Guest Passes are complete and accurate and that the guest(s) is not on the Banned List. Confiscate misused, damaged, or altered forms of identification. (10%)
- Communicate incidents and concerns using the phone or radio equipment with other departmental representatives clearly and as needed. (50%)
- Serve as a positive representative of the University by providing information, direction, and assistance to residents, guests, and staff. (10%)
- Keep up to date with the latest memos. Attend at least two training sessions per year. Consult and review the Operations Manual on a regular basis. (10%)
- Monitor the video displays for improper activities. Report any equipment related malfunctions to the supervisor on duty or Residential Safety Office. (10%)
