The Integrated Business and Engineering degree prepares students for leadership roles at the intersection of business and technology. The program equips students with a robust understanding of core business functions and engineering principles, empowering them to lead in complex, global environments. The curriculum integrates practical, hands-on learning experiences throughout, enabling students to apply business theory and engineering concepts to real-world challenges.

The Program Manager of the Integrated Business and Engineering Degree (IBE) reports to the Director of Undergraduate Student Services and supports the academic success and professional development of students in the IBE program. The Program Manager is responsible for managing administrative components and programmatic elements of IBE to include supporting student success through academic advising and coaching, planning and implementing co-curricular programs, and recruitment of students to the IBE program.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be


Program Development & Administration
  • Develop and implement co-curricular programmatic opportunities for IBE students that are focused on exploring and successfully navigating career pathways, developing a sense of community and belonging, and succeeding academically. Collaborate with Badami office for Experiential Learning (BOEL) in developing experiential learning opportunities for IBE students. Ensure that the IBE program delivers an enriching and supportive experience that helps students succeed academically and professionally.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with key faculty and staff in Leeds and the College of Engineering & Applied Science (CEAS) to ensure course access, cohorting in identified courses, and a seamless student experience.
  • Collaborate closely with the Leeds Director of Recruitment and Scholarships to develop strategies to build a strong pipeline of prospective students. Partner with Leeds Marketing and the Leeds Recruitment team to coordinate program communication through a variety of mediums, including email, web, social media, and collateral materials.
  • Host orientations for IBE students. Represent IBE at prospective and admitted student days and other events as needed. Collaborate with Leeds Career Coaching, Office of Experiential Learning, Employer Relations, and Mentoring teams to ensure IBE students have access to opportunities and experiences that will enhance their academic experience and lead to positive career outcomes.
  • Develop and deliver co-curricular Designing Your Leeds for Career Impact content that aligns with Bachelors of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) courses and is customized for IBE students in order to help students explore, prepare, and launch into their desired career pathway.

Academic Advising
  • Advise current and prospective IBE students regarding academic requirements and options for completing these requirements. Maintain and integrate knowledge of constantly evolving curricula, university rules and policies, and how to apply to different circumstances.
  • Additionally, stay current on resources available, and knowledgeable of standard methodology advising standards and protocol. Advising may be done in person, via Zoom, on the phone, or by email. The employee integrates a student-focused developmental approach to advising and has an understanding of how career goals and opportunities impact academic decisions. Develop specific retention strategies for IBE in collaboration with the Director of Undergraduate Student Services.

Record Keeping and Project Support
  • Maintain student records to reflect current academic standing with regard to the IBE requirements. Priority is placed on being aware of constantly evolving curriculum requirements and applying changes to student records for accuracy in record keeping. The responsibility also includes evaluation of transfer credit, updating degree audit, and managing academic standing records, senior audits, and graduation processing for IBE students. Proactively monitor student progress and perform interventions/outreach as necessary.
  • Every position in the Undergraduate office will be called upon to help with various tasks such as orientation, graduation confirmation, commencement ceremony, probation and suspension, advising non-business students, preparing and presenting oral presentations, training new employees, and acting as an outreach resource to the rest of the campus or community.


What You Should Know

  • The work schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm.
  • This position offers a hybrid modality with 3 days per week in person and 2 days of remote work per week.
  • Evening and weekend hours will be required to support workshops/programs approximately 5-10 times per semester.


What We Can Offer


The salary range for this position is $62,400-$67,000. Relocation is available for eligible candidates.

What We Require

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Three years of related professional experience such as academic advising, career counseling or a professional role at the intersection of business and engineering.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.
