The City of Tacoma Environmental Services Department, Asset Management and Technology Services Division is accepting applications for a Technology Manager. The Technology Manager is responsible for leading various information technology projects that support the business needs of the 500+ employees of the Environmental Services Department.

Key Responsibilities Include:- Leading a team responsible for:
- Providing IT project management to facilitate the development and implementation of software applications that support the department’s business processes. This includes working with end users, 3rd party vendors, and application developers to ensure deliverables meet the project objectives.
- Maintaining and developing digital twins for the treatment plants and collections systems.
- Developing and maintaining predictive data models and other data analytical tools to support data driven decision making.
- Maintaining and updating data (including data quality control) for the Environmental Services Department GIS database.
- Identifying and monitoring progress toward project goals.
- Collaborating with departments, leadership, and governance bodies to prioritize work, intake requests, and ensure alignment with citywide goals
- Managing competitive bid processes, RFP's and RFQ's.
- Managing consultants and vendors.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or directly related field AND 6 years of progressively responsible information technology and project management experience in the area of assignment including 1 year as a technology supervisor, manager or subject-matter expert.
*Equivalency: 1 year of experience = 1 year of education
Licensing, Certifications and Other Requirements
As Assigned:
Some assignments may require a Washington State Driver's License

Compensation & Benefits
Pay Details:
Hourly Rate: $72.91 - $102.65
Annual Salary: $151,652.80 - $213,512.00
