The Department of Economics invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in macroeconomics to begin August 2026. The initial application deadline is November 20, 2025. What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
The successful candidate will teach a macroeconomic theory course in the Ph.D. core, teach undergraduate and graduate level courses, pursue high-quality scholarship, and provide professional service to the department, university, and the economics profession.
What We Can Offer
The salary for this position is $145,000-$165,000. A moving allowance of up to $6,000 may be available to the successful candidate.The successful candidate may be eligible for startup funding.

What We Require
The position requires a Ph.D. in economics or Ph.D. in a closely related discipline that fosters macroeconomics research including but not limited to business, public policy, mathematics, or statistics. While ordinarily, you should have completed all requirements for the Ph.D. by August 2026, it is possible for you to have finished all but the dissertation to begin work as an instructor while completing the degree. A Ph.D. is required for reappointment.
