Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor (Clinical)
The University of Utah College of Nursing (CON) seeks a full time (1.0 FTE) faculty member to collaborate in teaching, curricular development, and integration of simulation pedagogy.
Principal Functions and Responsibilities: This Career-line faculty member will use simulation to provide high-quality learning experiences to undergraduate and graduate nursing students. Primary responsibilities include organizing, facilitating and evaluating simulation events and programs for undergraduate and graduate students.
Specific Work Activities Include the Following:
Additional responsibilities include providing ongoing feedback for program and curriculum development, assisting in selecting, supervising, and evaluating simulation faculty facilitators,
participating on CON committees, and professional activities/service. Developing clinically-focused scholarship is an expectation for long-term retention and career advancement.
Desired Candidate Criteria:
Graduation from a regionally accredited nursing program is required. A master's degree in nursing or related field is also required. Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Doctor of Education (EdD), Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or enrollment in a PhD, EdD, or DNP program is preferred. Other considerations include the following:
Qualified candidates must hold, or be eligible for, a Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in Utah. Work is performed on campus at the Annette Poulson Cumming Building.
