Job Summary:

The Children's Hospital Immunodeficiency Program (CHIP) in the Section of Infectious Diseases and Epidemiology seeks a part-time, PRN Neurodevelopmental Psychologist. CHIP provides comprehensive health care integrated with clinical trial participation to children, adolescents, young adults and pregnant women living with or affected by HIV. CHIP is comprised of a multi-disciplinary team including a clinical care team, psychosocial support team, research team, outreach/prevention team, and administrative support. CHIP is a study site for multi-center clinical trials from the Pediatric HIV AIDS Cohort (PHACS) and International Maternal, Pediatric, Adolescent AIDS Clinical Trials (IMPAACT), as well as other federal and industry sponsored trials. The position will provide neurodevelopmental assessments for clinical trials and clinical care for approximately 4-12 hours per week. The position requires a doctoral degree in psychology with extensive background in developmental psychology, as well as neuropsychology.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical responsibilities include providing neurodevelopmental support to the CHIP patients. This includes:
  • Neuropsychological assessment of clients preparing for transition to adult care
  • Collaboration with the clinical care team to develop optimal care plans for clients
  • Consultation with school personnel or other treatment providers

Research responsibilities include overseeing collection of neurodevelopmental data needed for multi-center clinical research protocols. This includes:
  • Scoring of assessments
  • Completion of clinical research forms (case-report forms)
  • Documentation of assessments in client's electronic medical record
  • Organize, conduct, and maintain responsibility for quality assurance of neurodevelopmental data
  • Maintain compliance with required research trainings including, but not limited to, Human Subject Research Protections, HIPAA, and Good Clinical Practice

Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, Colorado.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
  • PhD trained and licensed in psychology
  • Minimum 5 years experience conducting neurodevelopmental assessments
  • Experience with neurodevelopmental testing for the PHACS network protocols

Condition of Employment:
  • Must successfully pass a drug test through Children's Hospital Colorado
  • Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience working with people living with HIV
  • Prior experience with neuropsychiatric care for children and teens born outside the U.S.
  • Prior experience assisting clients with school accommodation.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting hiring range for this position has been established at: $64.58/ hour

The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
