The College of DuPage invites applications and nominations for the Vice President Student Services (VPSS) role. The VPSS provides executive leadership, advocacy, vision and supervision, strategic and integrated planning, and oversight for all dimensions of student services, contributing to the high-quality educational experience for the College's diverse community members.
College of DuPage (COD) is a comprehensive community college with far-reaching impact. Located in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, just 25 miles outside of Chicago, the campus covers 273 acres. The College is firmly rooted in the community yet committed to reflecting the needs and demands of an ever-changing world. College of DuPage offers seven degrees in more than 150 areas of study, and each degree program emphasizes relevant coursework and results-focused teaching by dedicated faculty. With more than 26,000 students served annually, COD is the largest community college in the state.
Reporting to the President and a member of the presidential cabinet, the next VPSS will work collaboratively with faculty and staff members to ensure a comprehensive program designed to support student learners and ensure their success in reaching their academic goals. Using evidence-based decision-making, the VPSS will assess division efficiencies and effectiveness and create and implement best practices to meet the needs of current and prospective students. The position is accountable for efficient operations, quality customer service, functional integration, policy development, risk management, programming, professional development, and fiscal management in the Student Services division. Areas of oversight include Admissions & Enrollment Services, Financial Aid & Scholarships, Student Activities, Services to Special Populations, Athletics, Registration & Records, Mental Health Counseling, Career Services, and Title IX
This is a full-time position that will be performed on site. The anticipated salary range for this role is $186,142-214,063. A complete position profile is forthcoming. The anticipated deadline for application submission is February 23, 2025.
