The Division of Sleep Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Candidates should be board eligible or board certified in Sleep Medicine.
Teaching responsibilities may include training residents and fellows in addition to precepting medical students and other trainees in the field of Sleep Medicine. The academic clinician track requires 100 credits per year of active and high-quality teaching.
Clinical responsibilities may include performing comprehensive evaluations of patients with sleep disorders and managing patients with sleep disorders; interpreting polysomnograms, multiple sleep latency tests, and home sleep apnea tests; rounding on the in-patient sleep consult service; attending in the sleep disorders clinic and sleep telemedicine program. Clinical responsibilities will be at Pennsylvania Hospital as well as the primary outpatient site of the Sleep Division at the University of Pennsylvania.
