Position Announcement
Under the supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Program Director, the tutor will coordinate, supervise, and evaluate the tutoring and remediation of Respiratory Therapy students. Gathers program assessment data as relevant to program learning outcomes, etc. Collaborates with faculty to coordinate and plan academic workshops and student recruitment efforts.
Work Remotely Not Eligible

Summary of Responsibilities

• 60% Tutors students individually, by appointment and walk-in, for assigned courses.
• 20% Tutors student groups.
• 10% Participates in gathering data for program assessment purposes and assists faculty in planning and coordinating academic workshops and student recruitment efforts.
• 10% Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and one year of experience related to the duties specified. Demonstrated familiarity with courses offered by the Respiratory Therapy program.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated experience with tutoring/teaching in an academic setting or professional organization. Demonstrated experience working with diverse student populations.
Licenses or Certifications
Utah State License as a Respiratory Therapy Practitioner (RCP)

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities

• Basic and advanced Respiratory Therapy procedures and processes.
• Research, analysis, and development in identifying student educational needs related to the program.
• Skill with various software, including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and Slack. Skilled in both written and verbal communication.
• Ability to learn new software and applications.
• Ability to foster academic partnerships with faculty and students.
• Ability to solve problems and convey solutions to others.
• Ability to maintain the confidentiality of academic records. Ability to train and supervise others.
