Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Support the development of thermal requirements for power electronics components such as dc-dc converters, inverters and charging systems.
Execution of component level and sub-system level thermal design-verification testing.
Lead thermal modeling of power electronics components.
Design thermal derating strategies for dc-dc converters, inverters and on-board charging systems.
Define tests and perform data analysis to validate thermal performance and durability.
Develop thermal performance test plans, procedures, and execute tests to evaluate if power electronics hardware meets acceptance test criteria.
Create thermal test data analysis tools to interpret test results.
Preparation of test reports and technical review with manager.
Troubleshoot and fix various thermal related issues during power electronics hardware testing.
Support test bench development to validate power electronics thermal performance and derating strategies.
The annual salary for this role is $97,000 - $139,000 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline.
1 or more years of hands-on testing experience with HV power electronics.
Preferred Qualifications:
OEM experience or Tier-1 product development experience.
Previous thermal modeling experience using MATLAB or PLECS.
