Hydraulic Components and Systems Engineer

The hydraulics engineer will grow to become a subject matter expert for at least one hydraulic component, and can expect to develop hydraulics across a range of products within both the Agriculture and Construction segments. The engineer will make improvements and resolve hydraulic challenges on current products, as well as develop components and systems for next generation vehicles.

This position is eligible for HYBRID flexible work arrangements.


Responsibilities
  • The hydraulics engineer will develop components for mobile applications across several machine platforms within both construction and agriculture. (i.e. Valves, Pumps, Motors)
  • Members of this team often take on initiatives within hydraulics including, but not limited to, electrification, autonomy, fluids, NVH, and other advanced projects.
  • The engineer will interface with worldwide cross functional teams to develop new components and resolve unique challenges within hydraulics.
  • Owns best practices, standards, and engineering specifications for hydraulic components.
  • Ensures designs, suppliers, and manufacturing meet customer requirements, standards, and specifications.
  • Supports development of validation plans and test specifications.
  • Supports co-design and validation of components with suppliers.
  • Contributes to cost reduction initiatives on current products.
  • Contributes to quality improvement through warranty and failure analysis.
  • Releases components into CNH Industrial data management systems.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this position is $69,000 - $99,000 annually
(Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably hydraulic engineering.
  • 1+ years experience working with hydraulic systems.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Candidate has a passion for hydraulics and a strong desire to grow into a subject matter expert in one or several components.
  • Ideal candidates possess a Masters or PhD in engineering with a focus in mobile hydraulics.
  • Good understanding of hydraulic component and system design for mobile applications.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good project management skills.
  • Self-starter with independent thinking, able to work with limited supervision.
  • Works well with worldwide cross functional teams.
  • Good communication skills (presentation, written, and verbal)
  • Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Experience with 3D CAD software (CREO Preferred)
