Job Description

Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Finance & Administration, the Payroll Administrator oversees payroll & personnel administration for faculty, staff, student, and non-agency temporary employees of the School of Social Work. They are responsible for exempt monthly, non-exempt weekly, and student weekly payrolls to ensure consistent, timely, and accurate processing of payroll transactions. Using a collaborative and consultative approach, the Payroll Administrator will ensure payroll policies are adhered to and school-level processes are aligned with the University.

This position serves as the main contact for School of Social Work faculty and staff managing day-to-day payroll operations involving work across all central departments in the University, including HR, Payroll, and the Office of Sponsored Research. The Payroll Administrator will work with the Assistant Dean for Finance & Administration to solve complex payroll issues that arise.


Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree required with 3-5 years of related work experience or Master's degree with 1+ years of experience.
  • Ability to work with large quantities of data; strong analytical and Excel skills.
  • The ideal candidate will be extremely organized, detail-oriented, ability to utilize discretion and sensitivity when dealing with confidential information.
  • Experience using SAP or similar ERP is desirable.
