About Our Data Governance Practice:

We provide exceptional data integration services in the ETL, Data Catalog, Data Quality, Data Warehouse, Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Governance space.

Perficient currently has a career opportunity for an Informatica EDC/Axon Developer.

Job Overview:

As a Lead Technical Consultant you will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment and support of application developed for our clients. As a member working in a team environment you will work with solution architects and developers on interpretation/translation of wireframes and creative designs into functional requirements, and subsequently into technical design.

• Lead the technical planning & requirements gathering phases including estimate, develop, test, manage projects, architect and deliver.
• Serve as a technical lead and mentor. Provide technical support or leadership in the development and continual improvement of service.
• Catalog cpplications with Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC), where activities will include Key activities include:
  • Conducting working sessions with stakeholders (comprised of business and IT stakeholders, legal, process owners, application owners, and subject matter experts (SMEs)) to determine key data elements, business processes, approval workflows, and any other relevant requirements.
  • Performing EDC resource creation and extraction of core application metadata and profiling metadata, managing global level and resource level security, scheduling and monitoring a resource, business term association, attribute management, data domains, rules, profiling information and troubleshooting, and performance tuning in EDC.
• Create an Inventory of the Most Important Data Assets and Set up the Data Governance Processes with Informatica Axon. After cataloging the client applications, shall create Axon objects and set up the data governance framework for control and collaborations across functions and business disciplines. Key activities include:
  • Attend, participate, and - when necessary - facilitate meetings, working groups, and/or communications with various business groups within the organization to enable execution of data strategy, work with various groups to drive data governance and metadata related projects.
  • Creating and curating a business glossary, business metadata, technical metadata and providing subject matter expert for critical data within various business domains.
  • Working with stakeholders to identify trusted source, business owner, and operational owner for each of the key data elements (KDE), and defining business definition and business rules.
  • Defining and managing data governance standards and best practices for data governance projects.
  • Establishing and managing business processes for data governance, including approval processes and policies for data security.
  • Creating and maintaining data governance framework that, at a minimum, establishes roles and responsibilities for data governance and decision making to meet the enterprise's data objectives and goals.
  • Executing standard onboarding of technical and business metadata into the Informatica EDC and Axon environments, ensuring the population of data lineage and linkage between the technical and business metadata
• Will implement DQ rules in EDC and their corresponding dashboards.
• Will work with Data Governance committees on updates to policies and security procedures.
• Documenting the processes and procedures necessary to catalog the core applications.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members.
• Demonstrate the ability to adapt and work with team members of various experience level.

• 7+ years' experience in data integration, preferably on Informatica platform.
• 3+ years' experience on Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog platform (version 10.x).
  • Can demonstrate how to leverage industry standards to develop policies, guidelines, tools, metrics and standards for managing metadata, lineage and glossary.
• 2+ years' experience on Informatica Axon platform (version 7.x).
• Client facing or consulting experience highly preferred.
• Skilled problem solvers with the desire and proven ability to create innovative solutions.
• Flexible and adaptable attitude, disciplined to manage multiple responsibilities and adjust to varied environments.
• Future technology leaders- dynamic individuals energized by fast paced personal and professional growth.
• Phenomenal communicators who can explain and present concepts to technical and non-technical audiences alike, including high level decision makers.
• Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Math, Engineering or comparable major.
• Solid foundation in Computer Science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design.
• Knowledge and experience in developing software using agile methodologies.
• Proficient in authoring, editing and presenting technical documents.
• Ability to communicate effectively via multiple channels (verbal, written, etc.) with technical and non-technical staff.
