The Omni Channel Architecture Group has an opening for a Senior Architect, Pharmacy (Health & Wellness) that supports the entire technology needs across our pharmacies, pharmacists & our customers. We are actively looking for a Senior Architect who can help transform our capabilities in this space. This position is located in Pleasanton, CA or Dallas, Texas.

This senior level individual contributor is primarily responsible for leading next generation Health and

Wellness architecture, vision and roadmap, developing the future state enterprise architecture, while

ensuring alignment on IT architecture and technology direction across business and IT leaders.

Position Purpose

Senior Architect in Omni Channel Architecture Group is senior technologist who oversees

architecture & design for all digital properties of Albertsons Inc. Helps drive the technology vision,

strategic roadmap for health and wellness platforms. Responsible for making the vision realized by

closely partnering with business & technical stakeholders. Senior Architect is responsible for

developing Architecture Principles, standards, patterns and solutions. This leader closely works with

Solutions Architects, Technology Leaders and Business Leaders in the organization. Mentor and

groom other Engineers, technical leads to help them grow and succeed.

Help to build Albertsons next generation health and wellness platforms architecture and deliver on a

multi-year vision and roadmap that delivers new and transformational wellness experiences that is

integrated in our grocery business. Albertson's Companies is looking for people who are interested

in re-imagining the pharmacy experience by harnessing the power of digital technologies. The

Health & Wellness Architect will work closely with Product, Agency, Business, UX, Data teams and

more to define and govern the Health & Wellness Omni Channel architecture.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Lead architecture & design for complex programs spanning multiple teams across the organization.
  • Work closely with Product and Business Leaders to transform the Business Vision and Roadmap to Design an architectural vision for delivery teams aligning the product vision and future capabilities and socialize it within and outside the team.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architects and Solution Architects across the organization and within the group to develop and refine architecture.
  • Provide technical oversight to the development process including reviewing the technical design and the deployment architecture.
  • Architect and design Microservices Architecture based solutions that are inherently secure, robust, scalable and modular.
  • Mentor solution architects and technical leads to help build effective engineering practices.
  • Be the go-to expert for technical solution to digital development teams.
  • Identify and introduce new technologies, patterns as and when required and assess impact of future technologies on your existing architecture and solution that can elevate the marketing platform and the ability for the marketing team to carry out their activities.
  • Should be Hands On architect to be able to work on POCs, independently.
  • Provide architecture & technology leadership for building and deploying applications across multiple public clouds.
  • Provide technical oversight to the development process including reviewing the technical design and the deployment architecture.
  • Lead architecture for Health and Wellness platform adhering HIPPA/PHI, security, data governance, legal, risk and compliance standards.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering and 10 years of experience OR Master's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering and 8 years of experience.
  • 5 years of experience in software architecture & design.
  • 3 years of experience in cloud services architecture, technical design and implementations including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS
  • Pharmacist license or, Pharm. D. desirable.
  • In-depth understanding of technology systems supporting pharmacy business domain (PBM, prescriptions & refills, immunization, inventory tracking, managed health care, EPR etc.) and associated information technologies demonstrated through participation on multiple projects and industry roles.
  • 4 to 6 years of exposure in Pharmacy systems with significant understanding of pharmacy security compliance (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, 21 CFR, GxP etc.) & integration standards (e.g., HL, GS1 etc.)
  • Preferable exposure, 2 to 4 years in the following products or similar systems: PDX Enterprise Pharmacy System, Toshiba POS, adheres, supplylogix.
  • Experience in Health and Wellness Domain is a must.
  • Experience with micro-services architecture, design patterns, and standard methodologies with an eye towards scale, automation, resiliency, high availability and user experience
  • Excellent understanding of architectural principles involved in SaaS and multi-tenant platforms.
  • Experience in cloud computing application implementations on Azure or Google Cloud is a required.
  • Strong background in creating secure cloud architectures for customer facing applications that are enterprise grade and highly scalable.
  • Experience and knowledge of streaming technologies, NoSQL databases and cloud platforms are a plus.
  • Experience in Kubernetes, Java, Spring, SpringBoot, Jenkins, Python/Perl, or some variation of these skills is required.
  • Experience in Kafka, React, GraphQL, Security Vault framework, Redis/Varnish cache, and Spark is a plus.
  • Good understanding of Mobile/Web Technologies, UI Frameworks such as Angular/React is a plus.
  • Experience in cloud logging methodologies for metrics, applications logging, and tracing is a plus.
  • Experience in DevOps culture is a plus.
  • Experience in emerging technologies like Machine Learning, voice, bots and IOT is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, influencing, collaboration and negotiation skills.
