Microsoft 365 Migration Engineer (Remote in USA)

Overview:
Rackspace is currently looking for an outstanding Microsoft 365 Migration Engineer to join our world-class Office 365 team full time onsite or Remote Work from Home for exceptional candidates.
  • As an Office 365 Engineer for our Office 365 team, you will help mid-size and large customers to better plan, migrate, set up, administer and consume Office 365 across their enterprise.
  • An Office 365 Engineer will understand the customer's business and technical needs by working as an extension of the customer's IT team.
  • As an Office 365 Engineer you will gain an in-depth knowledge of their business and be able to recommend solutions that best fit their needs utilizing cutting edge technology.   • We are looking for Office 365 Engineers who wish to take their careers to the next level by joining our Office 365 team.
  • Operates under general supervision.
  • Receives little to no instruction on day-to-day work. Determines methods and procedures for new assignments. Mentors junior staff.

    You Will:
      • Responsible for implementation of the complex architectural design of hardware, software and/or networking systems
      • Analyzes systems and determines business requirements
      • Ensures completeness and compatibility of the technical infrastructure to support system performance
      • Keeps informed of new technology. Follow and execute Rackspace change management. Contribute and organize a central store of knowledge
      • Represents team in interdepartmental meetings
      • Participates in systems/code reviews and design sessions
      • Facilitates Root Cause Analysis sessions
      • Evaluate changes using RPN methods and develop MOPs for changes
      • Delivers brown bags/tech talks to internal groups Take full ownership of product life cycle


    You Have:
      • 7 years Windows systems experience, including systems administration or engineering experience
      • Advanced to expert knowledge of OSs and distributions, patching, monitoring, RAID, security, web servers, cluster management, high availability, root cause analysis, systems optimization, configuration and source code management, database administration, scripting language, auth/directory services, backups, caching, SSL certificates, storage, packet analysis, DNS, HTTP, FTP, SNMP, SSH, hardware, virtualization, networking, firewalls, load balancing, troubleshooting, stack trace analysis, methodologies of design and implementation
      • Advance to expert knowledge of Windows, Shell Scripting. Able to resolve problems promptly
      • Understands automation principles and design
      • Demonstrate ability to learn and adapt to Rackspace specific tools


    Education:
      • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field preferred


    Certifications
      • MCSE preferred
