Field Service Technician II

As a Field Service Technician II, you will be using your skills and expertise to perform a variety of maintenance and technical support on our products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations. You'll be responsible for installing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and modifying our products and updating and tracking the status of all field related equipment. You'll build and maintain effective relationships with our customers and provide them with onsite training.

Responsibilities:

The primary job responsibility will be to maintain the Airborne Mission Network System (AbMN) integrated on aircraft in support of daily operations of the MC-130J both CONUS & OCONUS.

Must-haves:

• Associate's degree and typically 2 or more years of relevant experience
  • A higher-level degree may substitute for experience
  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education

• Basic understanding of technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications
• Ability to understand and interpret technical schematics and documents
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Strong understanding of electrical wiring concepts periods of time
• An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required. Learn more about the background check process for Security Clearances

Preferred:

• Security+ Certification
• Prior IT application experience with Security+, Network+, CCNA and/or A+
• Prior experience with operating/maintaining VMWARE (Virtual Machines)
• Encrypted radio maintenance/troubleshooting experience
• FCC and/or FCC w/GROL License
• Basic understanding of Spectrometer, Oscilloscope and/or Multi-meters
• Fiber Optic maintenance/troubleshooting experience.
• Fiber Optics training certification(s)
• Current/Valid Passport and ability to obtain a visa to travel internationally.
