Description:
The Simmons School of Education & Human Development at Southern Methodist University (SMU) is continuing to accept applications for multiple Clinical Assistant Professor of Sport Management positions. These are non-tenure-track, nine-month renewable contract positions.

Clinical professors are expected to teach 4 courses (12 credit hours) per semester at either the graduate or undergraduate levels. We are particularly interested in faculty who can teach courses related to:

- Sport Law

- Revenue in Sport

- Sport Facility Management

- Sport Marketing

- Organizational Leadership in Sport

This position includes teaching graduate courses in the Master of Science Sport Management program and/or undergraduate courses in the Bachelor of Science in Sport Management. Clinical professors may be asked to teach evening and/or weekend courses. Clinical professors are also expected to maintain office hours and an appropriate student-centered presence on campus while participating in service leading to the development, growth, and expansion of the sport management programs. The Simmons School of Education and Human Development was founded in 2005 and is ranked among the top 15 private graduate education schools in the United States. Qualifications:
- A Doctorate Degree (Ph.D., J.D. or Ed.D.) in sport management or a related field such as sport administration, business, law, economics, etc.

- Experience in the sport or allied-to-sport industries is desirable.

- Experience teaching undergraduate and/or graduate sport management courses (online or in-person) is preferred.
