Baylor University's Truett Seminary is seeking a full-time faculty member in Youth and Family Ministry at the clinical rank, starting on August 1, 2025. The specific title will be based on the candidate's experience and academic training.

Candidates should be able to teach courses and build a Youth and Family Ministry program.

Candidates will be encouraged to serve the seminary by building relationships within the broader university and church networks.

About Truett Seminary: Baylor University's George W. Truett Theological Seminary exists to equip God-called people for gospel ministry in and alongside Christ's Church by the power of the Holy Spirit. Truett's main campus is at Baylor University in Waco, and additional campuses serve students in Houston and San Antonio. Truett supports and celebrates both women and men for ordained ministry and has established a Black Church Studies program and a Wesley House of Studies. Truett offers master's degrees in Christian Ministry, Theological Studies, Sports Ministry, Contextual Witness, Ecology, Theology, and Food Justice alongside the traditional M.Div. degree. Qualifications:
  • Candidates must possess an earned doctoral degree, such as a Ph.D., Th.D., Ed.D., or D.Min in an appropriate field of study by May 31, 2025.
  • Candidates with an M.Div. degree are preferred.
  • Candidates should have at least five years of local church, campus, denominational, or other parachurch leadership experience in youth and/or family ministry.
  • Prior academic instruction experience will be valued.

Additionally, candidates must be committed to the Baptist tradition with evidence of active involvement in church life.
