About the Opportunity
Northeastern University's Khoury College of Computer Sciences is growing in all aspects. The college is increasing student enrollments, faculty, staff, alumni, corporate and industry partners, as well as our network campus locations. We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to join our growing software development team to help maintain and scale the College's software solutions. You'll be part of a cross-functional team that's responsible for the full software development life cycle, from documenting requirements, solution development, system configuration, testing, debugging, and support.
Responsibilities:
As a Full Stack Developer, you should be comfortable around both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries. Your primary responsibility will be designing, building, and maintaining web applications to support the College's teaching and administrative mission. You should be able to build efficient and explainable code that is tested to a high standard. You should also be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility.
Qualifications:
- Experience in writing REST driven web applications
- Experience in Python and Django (preferred) or Flask
- Experience in JavaScript and React (preferred) or Angular (writing JSX code)
- Familiarity with AntDesign.js is a major plus - Experience with Node.js / Webpack
- Familiarity with relational databases (MySQL or Postgres) and web servers (Apache or Nginx)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Great attention to detail
- A natural flair for problem solving and an analytical mind
- A strong interest in technology and its use in business processes
- Ability to learn and apply new technologies
- Strong organizational and time management skills
