Role and Responsibilities

As a Senior Sales Engineer - Commercial Sales, you will be responsible for providing our customer specific product recommendations for Samsung vRAN and 5G Radio Technologies and developing associated technical proposals and price quotations. In addition, you will be expected to provide general support; such as maintaining sales records, creating business reports, and supporting any requests from the Sales Leader to help keep our business moving forward.

Candidate must be based in the Denver Metro area (virtual office), with occasional travel to regional markets as needed.

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Partner with Product Managers to maintain expertise on Samsung vRAN and 5G Radio Solutions
  • Work directly with customers to provide recommendations for detailed solutions that meet their network and business requirements
  • Determine detailed product configurations required to meet customer specifications
  • Prepare proposals and price quotations for products and/or associated services
  • Create weekly sales activity reports, which include customer activities, business progress, trends, and strategic intelligence.
  • Track Quotes and Order Progress through Delivery and Invoicing
  • Partner with Program/Project Managers to offer technical guidance as needed
  • Collaborate across multiple teams to develop cohesive reporting capabilities across project execution


Skills and Qualifications

Background & Competencies Required:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (Bachelor's Degree Preferred)
  • Expertise in vRAN Solutions (Open-RAN is a plus)
  • Familiarity with 5G RAN Products and Network Designs
  • 12+ years of Sales Engineering experience
  • Strong skills in math, statistics, and analysis
  • Excellent analytical skills to compile information into useful reports and presentations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel Skills
  • Strong presentation and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to establish cooperative and trustworthy relationships with both customer and internal associates

    Necessary Skills and attributes:
  • The ability to plan, organize and complete multiple projects and simultaneous performance objectives.
  • Available to work extended hours as needed to meet customer and business needs
  • Work independently in determining team objectives and personal work schedule to be productive.
  • Work in a team environment, in order to achieve personal and team project milestones and to complete assignments within established time frames.
  • Accept tasks and problems/situations that differ, requiring creativity to search for optimal solutions, when only broad and general guidelines exist for solving problems.
  • The ability to utilize implied knowledge of task alternatives and to make spontaneous decisions using past experience and the guidance and/or successful experiences of others.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact at multiple levels within customer's organizations.
  • Make professional technical presentations in writing, through email, reports, or orally, to an audience of high technical skills, management and operational experience.
  • Ability to achieve results within established time frames and requirements.



Physical/Mental Demands and Working Conditions: The position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must be skilled in developing and maintaining good working relationships with all appropriate levels within and outside the company
  • Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal more than 50% of work time in an office work environment
  • Frequently works additional hours beyond normal schedule
  • Travel up to 25% required
  • Performs work under time schedules and stresses which are normally periodic or cyclical and include time sensitive job stress, fatigue, unpaid over-time, intellectual challenge, constant technical data feedback, language barriers, and project management stress.
  • Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids include PC's, printers, etc. most often associated with office work area equipment
  • Under minimal supervision with a high level of responsibility to apply general policies and guidelines where decisions are seldom monitored, consequences of decisions may adversely affect operating results and management decisions. Position has complete access to confidential company data where disclosure may jeopardize the company's competitive position
