Vice President - Application Services Group

Location: San Francisco, CA

The Federal Reserve Bank (FRB) of San Francisco's Information & Technology Services (ITS) Group is in search of a dynamic, enterprise-focused application development leader to run a large portfolio of technology platforms and products in support of our critical business across the FRB.

As Vice President (VP) of the Application Services Group, you will support the Board of Governors, Statistics, National IT, several Reserve Banks, and local business lines within the 12th District in the areas of .NET, UX, mobile, cloud-based development, and artificial intelligence efforts.

In this role, you will be responsible for creating a technology vision and providing overall leadership for the development and implementation of integrated, cross functional business technology solutions. This position will manage people and financial resources while ensuring the development of high-quality technology solutions to our customers

The ideal candidate must have a solid IT background and consistently keep up-to-date with advancements in the field including the product management lifecycles. Apart from your education and experience, you must have a strong strategic and business acumen. The goal is to ensure that information technology adds the maximum value to our customers.

Qualifications
  • Validated leader with 10+ years of managing development and development support resources
  • 5+ years working as a consultant or in a business development capacity
  • 5+ years of experience providing strategic guidance and leading organizational change
  • Demonstratable ability to manage and structure engineering teams for delivering high quality solution in a fast-paced environment
  • Established leader with significant portfolio/program management experience
  • Strong negotiation, facilitation, communication, influencing and interpersonal skills including demonstrated expertise in forging strong customer relationships while utilizing exercising influence and negotiating skills to achieve desired results. Exhibits strong customer empathy and customer sensitivity
  • Demonstrated expertise in the areas of accountability, critical thinking and emotional intelligence
  • Outstanding people manager, with inspirational leadership skills, presence and proven ability to coach, lead, and develop high performing teams
  • Exceptional collaboration skills with an ability to partner effectively with others in the pursuit of common goals
  • Exhibit the highest levels of personal and professional integrity at all times
  • Demonstrated effective change champion and ability to work effectively with others (including remote employees) to deliver complex, critical strategic IT initiatives
  • Advanced executive level communication skills, pictorial, written and verbal. Excellent listening skills. Proven ability to write clear and concise technical documents, including design documents, specifications and technology roadmaps
  • Advanced experience using agile methodologies to deliver IT projects
  • Strong proponent of UX and design thinking
  • Self-driven/motivated working style
  • Multi-tasking master
  • Overnight travel may average twenty to thirty nights per year for project related meetings, conferences and/or training
  • MUST be a U.S. Citizen or a Green Card holder with the intent to become a U.S. Citizen
