**This position is being recruited across several levels (Design Engineer through Principal Engineer) the successful candidate will be placed at the appropriate level based on education and experience**
Basic Responsibilities
Snohomish PUD is seeking a full-time Transmission Engineer for the District's 115kV & 230kV transmission system. Duties will include design, cost estimating, permit acquisition and project management. Experience working with customers, managing multiple projects and PLS-CADD transmission design software is preferred. We are recruiting this position for various levels (design engineer, senior design engineer, engineer, professional engineer, principal engineer). The successful candidate will be placed into the level based on experience and education.
Minimum Qualifications
Design Engineer
- Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering field
Senior Design Engineer
- Bachelor's of Science Degree in Engineering; and,
- Two (2) years directly related engineering experience
Engineer
- Bachelor's of Science Degree in Engineering ; and,
- Four (4) years directly related engineering experience and FE** or EIT; or 6 years related engineering experience
OR
- Washington State Professional Engineer License (PE), or ability to obtain through reciprocity; and,
- Eight (8) years directly related engineering experience, four (4) of which are performed at an electric utility
Professional Engineer
- Bachelor's of Science Degree in Engineering; and,
- Six (6) years related engineering experience, with two (2) of those years as a Lead or Project Engineer
OR
- Ten (10) years directly related engineering experience, five (5) of which are performed at an electric or water utility
Principal Engineer
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
- Nine (9) years of progressive applicable engineering experience, three (3) years of which are in a project engineer/lead engineer capacity in the electric or water utility engineering field
