Technical Systems Administrator II

The Technical Systems Administrator II is responsible for effective provisioning, monitoring, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, tools and related infrastructure within the Business Area (BA) Network. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation, modernization within the BA infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, CMMC Level Certification while enabling staff, Partners, and customers.

The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains - air, land, sea, space and cyber. Must-haves:
  • Requires a BA/BS in Related Field.
  • Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
  • Experience with administration of engineering tools such as Atlassian toolset with the following priorities (Bamboo, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence), 3DExperience and other such tools
  • CompTia certification (Network+, Server+)
  • Experience with networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
  • Self-motivated with ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects or task
  • Ability to work with people in a team environment
  • Deal effectively with changing project priorities
  • Knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery
  • Travel to other locations as required performing related duties

Preferred:
  • Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms (Red Hat Linux, Microsoft)
  • CompTia certification Security+
  • Cloud administration experience (AWS, IaC (Infrastructure as Code))
  • Basic Networking knowledge (VLANS, layer 2, Firewall Rules)
  • Ability to create scripts in Python, Perl or other language

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
