Summary

As a Technical Product Manager, you will help drive the future of enterprise business intelligence at the foundation. The Enterprise Business Intelligence program leverages internal expertise in human centered design, data and analytics, and enterprise-wide technologies while partnering with program teams and business partners to bring our users trusted data in central tools and reports. Our goal is to support data-driven decision making in service of impact.

As a program, we build and support modern data warehousing platforms, BI products, and self-service solutions to enable our users to answer key business questions. You will be responsible for helping define and develop data products – working with our BI teams and self-service users to understand and consolidate their requirements, and with the data platform teams to ensure the platform supports these needs.

Our data platform is a mix of both cloud-based and traditional on-premise services that provides analytics and new product initiatives for our customers. You will bring innovation, a strategic perspective, a passionate voice, and an ability to prioritize and execute on a fast-moving set of product priorities and opportunities.

Leadership and Culture

Our culture shapes our choices about what we do and how we do it. We believe that energized people, working well together, fueled by great leadership in an inclusive environment can do extraordinary things. We expect foundation employees to intentionally and consistently embody our four agreements; show respect, offer trust, be transparent, and create energy.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Product Roadmap: Work closely with our architects and business product managers to develop and maintain the product roadmap for the data platform. Collaborate and coordinate with business and IT partners to ensure that the roadmap creates business value with technically sound and scalable solutions that enhance product capabilities.

Product Delivery: Participate in scrum ceremonies with the data & BI delivery team while handling the product backlog and prioritizing customer feedback, bug fixes, and feature requests. Coordinate releases across the product and service teams to have consistent delivery of value-adding features.

Technology Evaluation: Evaluate gaps in current solution and identify and assess technologies to enhance product capabilities. Build strong relationships with strategic vendors of existing technologies to drive enhancements in current offerings.

Customer Engagement: Develop a deep understanding of the customer's data needs. Be a platform champion to help promote use, reduce barriers, and support process changes for teams that adopt the platform. Identify opportunities to lead data and analytics engagements across the foundation.

Leadership: Influence team members, build trust, and build strong relationships across the team and foundation to help drive the work forward. This role may manage contractors and advise on talent needed to achieve our goals, ensuring successful onboarding, communicating performance expectations, creating goal alignment, integrating project and change management, giving and seeking feedback, providing coaching, measuring progress, and holding people accountable.

Continuous Improvement: Monitor the data management capability landscape to identify opportunities for greater long-term business value. Frequently monitor the industry solution landscape to track the development of available solutions and identify opportunities. Partner with peers and customers across the foundation to ensure that current solutions remain relevant, useful, and supported. Define, monitor, and use product KPIs to help shape how the platform can evolve to create more value.
