What you'll Do
  • Assist the business units of new acquisitions in closing new sales opportunities, growing customer relationships, answering customer security questions, and responding to due diligence requests.
  • Define and mature local operational processes aligned with global corporate processes, in areas including: contract management for security terms in business contracts, incident investigations, crisis management / disaster response, and more.
  • Develop audit-quality documentation for local security processes, training cross-functional stakeholders on their roles. Develop and carry out metrics / reporting necessary to demonstrate performance and adherence to such processes.
  • Coordinate with the Global Security training and awareness team to help implement a local security awareness program. Develop a local strategy and customized, relevant content, leveraging other team members cross-functionally to source and distribute a broad range of engaging security messaging. Perform and oversee the performance of clean desk checks and similar controls.
  • Partner with the Global Security third-party risk management team to research situations where customers have been potentially compromised or suffered a data breach; determine implications for Equifax and partner with Business Information Security Officers to specify and implement protective / remediative actions. Assist with localized vendor security reviews and due diligence.
  • You will bring a strong technical and general security practitioner background to the role, sharing Security Team duties and serving as a subject-matter expert.



What experience you'll need :
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience in lieu of education
  • 3+ years experience in information technology/security, development, infrastructure or operations.
  • 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing or supporting role
  • 2+ years building and maturing business processes


Extra Points for any of the following
  • Several years experience working in one or more information security domains, such as those listed above. Demonstrated professional experience working in-depth with processes, process improvement and execution, metrics, and reporting; where writing and visual design (slides) were central elements of success in the role.
  • Strong foundational skills and prior work experience in one or more information security domains, such as engineering, control operations, architecture, threat / vulnerability / incident management, cybersecurity, technical risk analysis, etc.
  • Familiarity / experience with cloud security preferred. Google Cloud experience preferred.
  • Experience with security methodologies, policies, standards and industry best practices
