Staff Test Engineer, Test Automation, Tooling & Infrastructure

WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH:

Join a small team supporting QA and the QA environment to ensure all test infrastructure is running efficiently, work on initial triage and collaborate with QA managers to review failing tests. Focus on nightly regression testing with an opportunity to lead multiple projects in collaboration with our offshore team.

Illumio is looking for motivated, self-starting team players to join our QA regression team.

You need to enjoy learning new technologies, and solving/debugging complex problems.

You will help build/modify and maintain backend Test Automation Frameworks.

You will work with test developers to identify and prioritize tests that are candidates for regressions.

You will interact with test teams to help implement optimized and re-usable functional test automation.

You will provide test automation to development teams on demand, as well as regression and integration efforts.

You will maintain the functional test portion of the Continuous Integration pipeline.

You will help triage test automation failures, and file bug reports.

You will help define requirements for tests entering the nightly regressions pipeline.

You will help build infra-as-code to build/maintain our regression infrastructure

You will help in evolving and growing test backend automation infrastructure, and reporting.


WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

Bachelor's in computer science or equivalent degree. Master's degree a plus.

3+ years of experience in QA

Proficient programming skills in one object-oriented higher-level language (e.g. Python, Ruby), on a Linux operating system.

Experience in running regression testing infrastructure for agile continuous integration (CI) environments.

Experience in regression testing for virtual computing and/or networking solutions in various private/public cloud environments (e.g. VMware EXSI private clouds, AWS public clouds).

Experience in some of the following applications: Jenkins, JIRA, Git/Stash, Splunk, Elastic-Search, and Kibana

Experience in producing documentation, and conduct training on test automation practices, tools.
