Sr. Quality Technician

CNH is looking for experienced Material Handlers to work in our Benson Location


Responsibilities
  • Follow all safety procedures
  • Perform CQAs as required, develop the CQA process, metrics, corrective actions, report outs, both verbally and written
  • Perform calibration on all required tools, typically wrenches, electrical and provide work instructions for set-up and maintenance
  • Take the lead to determine cause of complex product problems (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical)
  • Use established corrective action steps to identify the root cause, communicate to those who need to correct the problem, document resolution, and keep records
  • Prevent problems found in production build processes from reoccurring.
  • Handle special projects as liaison between the shop floor and other groups. Samples of these include conducting field return investigations on an as needed basis
  • Update all software daily


Qualifications
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.



The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. Some dirt, dust, grease, oil and noise.



TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED: Tool box fixtures, dollies, power hoist

jigs, portable power tools, vise, blocks, chains, hoist, and hooks, standard hand tools, complete set of flex handles, ratchets, sockets, deep sockets, box and open end wrenches, hand wrenches, torque wrenches, etc. Dial indicator, micrometer, scale, caliper, electrical and diagnostic tools, computer.



QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Extensive practical experience in determining the root cause of complex product problems at Benson is required. This is considered the highest step in progression from Quality Technician II and I. Two year technical college or associate degree in areas such as hydraulics, machining, electronics, and mechanical. Equivalent knowledge and related or similar experience for five years in diagnosing troubles and making minor repairs involving close fits and tolerances, diesel engines, standard methods and procedures in disassembling, dismantling, repairing, replacing, reassembling, and adjusting complex units; practices and principles of diesel, electrical, fuel, hydraulic, lubrication and mechanical systems; application, operation, and use of various hand and portable power tools and diagnostic machines. Demonstrated track record of problem solving skills. Good computer skills. Experienced with MS Office products, Excel, Access and/or programs for tracking and presenting statistical data in charts and graphs. Good understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance.
