We are looking for a full-time Senior Technical Consultant (ServiceNow) to join our ITSM team in a client-facing role that combines technical responsibilities and traditional consulting elements. The Senior Consultant will be involved primarily in the post-sales, implementation stage of Rackspace's ServiceNow & ITSM consulting services and solutions and will deliver ServiceNow solution definition, implementation, customization, integration, and managed services for clients.
Job Description
- Design and deliver creative ServiceNow solutions across verticals
- Identify and document business challenges and opportunities and suggest solutions addressing those
- Work in a client facing environment and be able to convey complex technical concepts in business terms
- Assist sales staff in qualifying leads and generating proposals
- Demonstrate an understanding of business drivers and how they influence service design
- Create and maintain system-related documentation
- Manage task-level budget/scope to ensure client success and project profitability
- Research new technologies and stay abreast of new products and services. Apply these solutions as part of the service delivery continuous improvement mission
- Accurately predict the time required to complete development tasks; adhering closely to development plans; anticipating changes to a product specification or schedule as they become necessary during a development cycle
- Ensure timely delivery of committed services with a consideration of customer satisfaction
- Validate the development and configuration work to ensure it meets the project's criteria
- Experience in creating process and business flow diagrams, use cases, storyboards, and training documents
- Experience in working with both agile and waterfall methodologies
- Object-oriented programming design
Key Performance Indicators
- ServiceNow application and integration design and configuration skills
- Delivers architectures, product solutions, working prototypes, production ready systems, and provides guidance for complex solutions that enables Rackspace ITSM Solutions Sales, Delivery and Support teams to maximize speed to market deliveries and align with customer expectations
- Assists in defining our end-to-end product offerings including definition, design, build, deployment and high-level support
- Ensures major product architectural designs are secure, maintainable, flexible and cost-effective solutions
- Solves complex problems and takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions
- Decisions impact the achievement of customer, operational, program or service objectives
- Works on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles
- Leads others to solve issues of diverse scope where analysis requires an understanding of current business and government trends
- Uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions
- Promotes sharing of expertise through consulting, presentation, and documentation
- Continuously validates solutions against additional mandates, as developed, to ensure full compliance
- Works independently, with guidance in complex situations only
- Experience in designing, implementing and managing a multi developer and multi project environment(s)
- Able to act as mentor for less experienced team members
