Senior Software Automation Engineer

The Information Technology Department has an opening for a Lead Java Designer-Developer in the Marketing and Merchandising team. This position is located in Pleasanton, California.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • An expert in building IT software solutions for both coding needed for server side and client side
  • Curious and excited to learn new things and solve application issues in the simplest possible way
  • Motivated by taking a new feature all the way from inception, through research, design, development, and deployment up until it's being used by our customers.
  • Participate in the implementation and enhancement of our IT applications and provide guidance on the future direction of technology usage
  • Work closely with the business team in understanding and implementing the optimum software solution
  • Facilitate the implementation and adoption of new frameworks, tools, and technologies.
  • You also strive to help your colleagues when they need it
  • Implemented CI/CD, Automation in developing modern software
  • Ensure logic and design is in alignment with core architecture of the system/application
  • Oversee overall application development, testing and the deployment to production


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field
  • 2 to 4 years of experience with Automation Anywhere, or related robotic process automation software
  • Experience with web development technologies preferential
  • Programming or development experience (Java & C#)
  • Scripting knowledge or experience (Python, Perl, VB Script, Shell script, PowerShell, etc.)
  • Experience creating/managing macros
  • Ability to understand and create business process workflow diagrams or procedural documentation
  • Understanding of SDLC, Agile Development Methodologies
  • Exposure to performance measurement and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Automation Anywhere RPA Developer certifications preferred
  • Able to design technical specification documents for RPA Projects.
  • Experience developing and consuming APIs.
  • Experience with Agile development methodology.
  • Experience with Databases (SQL/ NoSQL) often preferred.
  • Knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning.
  • Understanding of workflow-based logic.
  • Must be able to multitask and willing to work on multiple projects at a given time
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable interacting with business stakeholders and external clients
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage expectations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


Desired Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of Retail or Master Data applications development experience greatly desired
  • Experience with cloud services (AWS, Google, Azure, etc.). Familiarity and experience with private/hybrid cloud Technologies
