Material Planning Manager

We are actively seeking an experienced Material Planning Manager to join our team in St. Nazianz, WI. In this position, you will be responsible for managing the flow of parts coming into the plant to meet manufacturing demand. In addition, this role is responsible for managing inventory levels to forecast targets as well as identifying areas of improvement to minimize future inventory levels. The Material Planning Manager works with operations, transportation, plant logistics and purchasing departments to ensure customer needs are satisfied.


Responsibilities

• Support inventory strategy targeting aggressive inventory reduction while maintaining optimum inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries to meet customer requirements.
• Plans for the phase in and phase out of new product introductions and engineering changes to minimize excess and obsolete inventory.
• Analyzes inventory to maximize turns/days of supply.
• Support and monitor appropriate KPI's for a variety of critical aspects of parts planning material flows (past dues, over shipments and partial shipments etc.) and find root cause resolutions when issues arise.
• Standardize material and information flow processes.
• Create, develop and implement standardized processes and converting data into usable information allowing for databased decisions.
• Develop and implement the company standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with planning and scheduling department functions.
• Prepares guidelines and processes for the production scheduler to operate under.
• Expedite engineering change orders and new part requisitions.
• Effectively supports manufacturing by minimizing schedule nervousness and assuring component availability.

The annual salary for this role is $93,000 - $142,000 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)


Qualifications
The qualified candidate will have:

• High school diploma/GED and 10 or more years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Scheduling or Engineering

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Industrial or Logistics Engineering, or other technical discipline.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in cost/benefit analysis and cost controls.
• Excellent understanding of IFS and SAP MRP systems
• Proficient at utilizing Microsoft Suite Applications
• Strong leadership/interpersonal skills
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and management skills, self-starter with an ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Strong knowledge of scheduling a must
