We are actively seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Goodfield, IL. In this role, you will support the Manufacturing Engineering Department primarily with systems configuration for new product as well as streamlining data flows and resultant project activity across Fab, Weld, Paint and Assembly Departments.



Responsibilities
  • Investigate, gather, and analyze data for identifying and resolving root cause for manufacturing issues
  • Participate in manufacturing department capacity planning and productivity improvement activities to facilitate numerous product line changeovers and vertical startup
  • Identify and implement cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas for manufacturing operations
  • Work with several systems to perform engineering functions inclusive of detailed bill of material, routing file, and packaging configuration for new parts
  • Design cell layouts to improve material flow and material presentation
  • Track all data input systems for productivity tracking and propose improvement to data collection flows and resultant root cause issues
  • Other related duties as assigned.

The annual salary for this role is $76,000-$95,000 (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)


Qualifications
Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or Technology with Weld or Assembly/ Paint Emphasis,
  • 3 or more years of related work experience. Preferrably in manufacturing


Preferred Exposure:
  • Experience with product change management, line and process design, material presentation, cycles of imbalance and visual management tools
  • Experience with shop floor manufacturing and capacity analysis
  • Understanding of Project and Change Management, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Methodology.
  • Database development and resultant data analysis
