Job Description

We are looking for a clinical research coordinator to work with a cancer genetics program and a fast-paced cancer immunology and virology laboratory to initiate and develop a biobank for individuals with a genetic predisposition to cancer. This clinical research coordinator will work closely with two investigators and focus primarily on the biobank; however, he/she will also interact with and assist other members of both the cancer genetics program and the lab with other tasks as needed. The position will have as a key responsibility facilitating acquisition of samples from humans (blood, tissue, etc) for immunological studies and banking for future experimental use. This may include coordinating operations between the research lab and the patient care clinics, transferring samples from clinical areas to the lab, database management, overseeing cohort recruitment including consenting participants, and working with the IRB. Prior experience with IRBs, working directly with patients, and phlebotomy will be advantageous.
