The Marketing Pillar within Marketing Technology and Operations has an opening for a Head of Analytics and Insights. This position is located in Pleasanton, California.

Position Purpose

The Marketing Technology and Operations team drives strategy and business impact by synthesizing performance metrics into actionable insights across multiple marketing channels including: Email, Paid Search, Organic Search, Display, Affiliates, Social, Mobile, Video and any other emerging marketing channels. The Head of Analytics, Retail Media will provide day-to-day insights in addition to driving Albertson's marketing strategy, partnering closely with the Director Retail Media to optimize performance in each channel in service to our brands. This role is highly visible across internal and external partners, charged with identifying areas of opportunity to drive revenue by instilling data-driven best practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Campaign Lift Measurement: Establish, implement, and execute test vs. control methodology to understand campaign lift including but not limited to sales, category share, units, cross-sell. Deliver measurement roadmap focused on continuous improvement and testing.
  • Omni-channel measurement: Lead and own measurement of strategic marketing investments, including marketing impact to retail and online sales, as well as cross-channel marketing impact to our brands.
  • Stakeholder management: Proven track record of driving impact in highly complex and matrixed organizations leveraging outstanding communication & business aptitude. Ability to influence internal and external business partners owning media planning, Product Management, IT, Media agencies, and MarTech / AdTech partners.
  • "Client facing" communication skills: Thrive in an environment of diverse and, at times, conflicting priorities and needs, leveraging strong partnership & communications skills.
  • Omnichannel subject matter expertise: Experience with hands-on implementation & use of emerging customer-centric technologies and capabilities including identity management, data onboarding, Personalization (Product recommendations & affinity, campaign management), 1st party / 2nd party / 3rd party data systems (e.g., CDP, DMP, data exchanges), all built on a strong customer-first mindset.
  • Audience Insights and Management: Develop audience & basket insights with strong CRM analytical skills. Design, Execute, & Govern concurrent tests as well as delivering business reporting platforms and insights.
  • Proven ability to build and manage highly effective teams.

Qualifications:
    • 12+ years relevant experience with 6+ years in retail with analytics in multi-channel marketing
    • BA/BS required, MBA preferred
    • Working knowledge of Display, Paid Social, and / or Search marketing channels as well as full funnel KPIs
    • Strong programming skills, including SQL, SAS, Python, R, etc.
    • 6+ years experience leveraging enterprise-level digital analytics platforms (e.g. Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Facebook Business Manager, DSPs, LiveRamp, etc.)

  • Working knowledge of rules-based attribution, test vs. control methodologies, algorithmic multi-touch attribution (MTA), and regression-based media mix modeling (MMM)
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with ability to present and translate complex information to both executive and technical partners while staying focused on our business goals
  • Excellent track record at building relationships and partnering with internal & external clients on complex business problems to develop actionable recommendations.
  • Preference will be given to candidates that also understand Big Data technology and how to leverage the platform to blend data from multiple data sources to help answer key business questions
