The successful HR College Co-op is based in Racine, WI and will partner with the HR Manager to support all aspects of HR program and service delivery for employees located throughout North America.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Maintain familiarity with Human Resources policies, procedures, compensation & benefits programs, employee discipline procedures, and laws pertaining to employee relations, EEO, etc.
- Assist with the staffing process to ensure positions are filled in a timely manner with high quality candidates, this includes discussing staffing needs with line managers, screening applicants and participating in the interview process
- Ensure timely and clear communication within the business unit on HR policies, practices and initiatives
- Monitor transactional requests, follow determined workflows, and complete required system updates to optimize HR transactional processes
- Encourage and build positive employee relations
Qualifications
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Student pursuing a degree in Human Resources or a related field
- Basic knowledge of Human Resources processes, regulations, and requirements
- Strong people skills including influence, collaboration and building relationships
- Facilitation skills
- Good organization skills and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Available to work 20+ hours per week continuing through the fall of 2021
- Must live within a commutable distance of our Racine, WI site
- Must have reliable transportation to get you to and from the facility
