Experienced Manufacturing Engineer

We are currently seeking an Experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Racine, WI. In this role, you will responsible for improving manufacturing efficiency, cost, product quality, and worker safety by analyzing current methods, new methods, new technologies and cost reduction activities in selected areas.


Responsibilities
Additional responsibilities include:

• Coordinates design reviews and resolution of design issues with both engineering and manufacturing teams to meet program objectives and milestones.
• Reviews designs for cost improvement opportunities and initial make versus buy recommendations
• Assists plant team with impacts of new designs on facilities, equipment and machine layouts, workflow, and safety precautions to maximize utilization of plant and manufacturing facilities.
• Determines project specifications by studying design, stakeholder requirements, and performance standards; completing technical reports; preparing cost estimates.
• Evaluates worker productivity and recommends design improvements to increase manpower efficiency and operating performance, reduce waste and delays, and promote cost control/reductions.
• Drives improvements in product and process design to facilitate improved plant ergonomics and safety.
• Resolves technical problems and recommends design and production improvements.
• Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic design, and familiarity with components.
• Other related duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications
The qualified candidate will have:

• A Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline.
• A minimum of 5 to 6 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Quality Engineering, and/or Manufacturing Supervisory roles or 3 years of manufacturing experience plus a Masters in related field with Solid competencies in Principles of mechanical, hydraulic systems
• 3+ years of experience with hydraulic systems/drive train is a strong plus

The ideal candidate will have:

• World Class Manufacturing/Lean manufacturing experience
• Experience with manufacturing ERP/MRP systems and visual work instructions
• Proficiency with MS Office applications
• Understanding and/or experience working with a phased gate product development process is preferred
• Understanding on test equipments and transmission testing.
• Experience with CAD/CAM, ie ProE, Creo, Teamcenter
