Job Description

The Apprenticeship Coordinator reports to the Division of Workforce & Economic Development's Programs Director. The position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of current and new Apprenticeship Programs. The Coordinator also serves as the primary liaison between the Programs Director, the College of Southern Nevada, and Registered Apprenticeship Programs. Additionally, the Coordinator will support all apprenticeship matters concerning the College of Southern Nevada.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in a related field OR 4 years of experience working directly with Trade Union Apprenticeship Programs, 5 of administrative experience in an industrial setting, 3 years of budgeting and/or grant oversight OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Nevada Revised Statutes affecting Trade Unions, CSN, and NSHE.
  • Knowledge of State Apprenticeship Council (SAC), Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training (BAT) and all applicable Labor Laws regulating Registered Apprenticeships.
  • Ability to academically advise large numbers of Apprentices.
  • Ability to develop and revise large amounts of proprietary curriculum of various disciplines in the partnership for CSN.
  • Ability to perform all procedures for scheduling, registration, billing and payment proceedings for the Apprentices in each program.
  • Ability to maintain highest levels of confidentiality and trust.
  • Ability to negotiate, communicate and work effectively with personnel with a Labor Union and a Registered Apprenticeship Program perspective.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse student/employee groups.


Starting Salary Range

Administrative Faculty Grade C

$58,561 - $67,307
